Your main responsibilities

As a structural engineer you will play a key role in the design, validation and optimization of our innovative steel structures. More specifically, you will be called upon to:

  • Act as a resource person for the interpretation and application of building codes and standards;
  • Validate the conformity of structures sold according to regulatory requirements specific to each region;
  • Verify the structural capabilities of projects prior to their completion;
  • Answer technical questions during the sales process;
  • Design and develop custom components according to specific customer needs;
  • Analyze the technical requirements of projects and assess their feasibility;
  • Participate in the technical review and analysis of specifications;
  • Contribute to ad hoc special projects, as required.

The profile we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or related engineering;
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) – membership in other provincial associations (ON, BC, NL) or willingness to obtain it is an asset;
  • Excellent ability to manage several files in parallel in a collaborative environment;
  • Mastery of certain software programs: SAFI, CREO, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), a major asset for interprovincial project management.
