We are looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow our presence in Ontario and the northeastern United States. In this strategic territory, you open doors, build strong relationships with growers and decision-makers, and close complex, high-impact sales. Self-driven and results-oriented, you manage long consultative sales cycles with the support of a team of experts.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in horticulture, agronomy, agricultural technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years in outside or field sales, ideally in greenhouse structures, horticultural equipment, or related agricultural products
  • Demonstrated success selling equipment or construction projects with long sales cycles (6 to 18 months)
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, the Microsoft Office suite, and online estimation tools
  • Disciplined approach to prospecting and rigorous pipeline management
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting, trust-based relationships
  • Highly organized, comfortable managing multiple active files simultaneously across a large territory
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with internal technical and logistics teams
  • French-English bilingualism to serve an English-speaking client base

Your main responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan for Ontario and the northeastern U.S., targeting commercial growers, horticultural cooperatives, and agri-food operators
  • Prospect, qualify, and convert new accounts, from initial outreach through site visits, quotes, negotiations, and deal closing
  • Conduct in-person consultations to assess client needs, present greenhouse structure options, and recommend integrated equipment solutions
  • Maintain a strong pipeline in CRM tools, ensuring rigorous follow-up at every stage of the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop accurate quotes and estimates for complex projects
  • Represent Serres Harnois at trade shows, horticultural industry events, and agricultural associations within the territory
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform territory strategy
  • Position Serres Harnois with key decision-makers at growing operations of all sizes
